Dr. Bryce Henderson MD FRCSC

Medical Director, Vital Orthopedics

Based in Central Alberta, is a leader in orthopedic surgery. He has performed well over 1000 arthroplasty surgeries and is on the frontier of surgical innovations. His kindness and genuine concern for patients brought him to Vital Surgical as a way to offer more.

Dr. Adam Schofield MD FRCSC

Medical Director, Vital Bariatrics

In addition to being a technically excellent surgeon, Dr. Schofield brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. After completing his residency in General surgery in Calgary, Dr. Schofield went on to pursue a 2 years specialization in advanced upper GI surgery in Australia. With a Master’s Degree in Minimally Invasive Surgery his qualifications are second to none. However, it is his compassionate nature and uncompromisingly high standards that make him a fit at Vital.

Dr. Rachid Mohamed

Gastroenterologist, Vital Bariatrics

Dr. Rachid Mohamed is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine at the University of Calgary.

He is an advanced endoscopist, based out of the Peter Lougheed Center. Dr. Mohamed completed medical school in Edmonton and went on to an internal medicine residency at the University of Alberta. He moved to Calgary in 2008 where he completed his gastroenterology fellowship followed by a fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy.

He is Section Head for Therapeutic Endoscopy in the Calgary zone. His interests lie in endoscopy, specifically complex pancreaticobiliary endoscopy and advanced tissue resection. He works closely with the bariatric programs in Calgary offering procedural expertise in the management of this population.

Dr. Mohamed is excited to join the team at Vital Bariatrics to deliver high-quality, comprehensive care.
